 | Los Angeles Blanks Wranglers, Allcock at His Best Friday, August 16th , 1963 The Dallas Wranglers met their match today in Los Angeles hurler Dewey Allcock. He kept them guessing the whole game and spun a 4-hit shutout. "He just worked us over," Dallas skipper Tom Aiello said. "He probably didn't even need a shower after the game -- he barely worked up a sweat." In the 8-0 victory, Allcock whiffed 8 and gave up no walks.
