| Kleman Tags Millers for 5 Hits Friday, May 3rd , 1963 Boston shortstop Joe Kleman had a day to remember, 5-for-5 against the Minneapolis Millers at Hennepin County Stadium as the Minutemen picked up a win, 7-2.
"He was patient up there," Boston skipper Bill Freeman told the press after the game. "I like the way he waited for his pitch and wasn't overly aggressive. Kleman has a tendency to chase bad balls sometimes."
Joe Kleman singled in the 2nd, doubled in the 4th, singled in the 5th, singled in the 7th and doubled in the 9th.
In his season totals Kleman has 3 home runs and a .277 batting average.
