At Dyckman Stadium, the New York Imperials first baseman burned Cleveland pitching, going 5-for-5 in the 10-0 New York triumph. "When he's on his game," New York skipper Jim Abernathy told reporters, "he can probably stroke a base hit blindfolded." Al Reece singled in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, doubled in the 5th, hit a two-run single in the 6th and hit an RBI triple in the 8th.
