| 5 Hits for Imperials Reece | The Cleveland Foresters might think twice next time about pitching to Al Reece.
At Dyckman Stadium, the New York Imperials first baseman burned Cleveland pitching, going 5-for-5 in the 10-0 New York triumph.
"When he's on his game," New York skipper Jim Abernathy told reporters, "he can probably stroke a base hit blindfolded."
Al Reece singled in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, doubled in the 5th, hit a two-run single in the 6th and hit an RBI triple in the 8th.
This season, Reece is hitting at a .337 pace with 7 home runs, 40 RBIs and has scored 51 times. | |
