| 5-Hit Game for Blair Friday, June 20th , 1975 There aren't many who could be pro ballplayers and there are even fewer who could put up 5 hits in a day.
Jack Blair is one of those rare few, as he went 5-for-5 against the Baltimore Clippers at Peachtree Stadium. The monster effort from the 27-year-old right fielder helped the Atlanta Copperheads get the win, 12-6.
"We made some bad pitches and he took advantage of it," said Clippers manager Hank Luckenbaugh. "That's the game, though. Don't make mistakes and you'll win ballgames. Make mistakes and, well, you saw what happened today."
Jack Blair hit an RBI double in the 1st, hit a two-run double in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, doubled in the 7th and hit a three-run home run off Max Reed in the 8th.
For the year, Blair is batting .332 with 81 hits and 5 home runs. He has scored 31 times and driven in 47.
