 | Williams 5-for-6 Against Stars Tuesday, August 7th , 1962 Today at Forester Stadium, the Los Angeles Stars topped the Cleveland Foresters in spite of a standout batting performance by first baseman Paul Williams. Williams had a very impressive day at the plate, spanking Los Angeles pitching for 5 base hits, but couldn't do enough for a win. Los Angeles whipped Cleveland by the score of 8-6. Paul Williams singled in the 1st, doubled in the 3rd, flied out in the 5th, hit a solo-shot off Harry Stout in the 7th, hit a solo-shot off Harry Stout in the 9th and hit a solo-shot off Ted Ferguson in the 11th.
