Perry got the win, improving to 1-6. He gave up 6 hits and walked 1 over 8 innings. He allowed 3 runs. Dallas goes to 14-23, Cleveland to 16-16.
The game was at a stalemate until catcher John Miller came to bat in the top of the eighth. Facing Cleveland pitcher Bob V James, he hit a 1-2 curveball for a 2-run single. It was a game-changer, putting Dallas on top, 5-3.
