Detroit pitcher Pat Fortier had a large part in his team beating the Boston Minutemen, 4-3. The right-hander kept opposing batters in check throughout the game. Fortier got the win, improving to 2-2. He gave up 5 hits and walked 2 over 6 innings. He allowed 3 runs. The save went to Pedro Castro, number 1 for him.
Detroit shortstop Alberto Alvarez helped the Dynamos go up, 4-3, in the bottom of the sixth inning. With the game tied, Alvarez hit a run-scoring single off Boston pitcher Bob Scott.
