In a close game at Kanda Stadium, the Nagoya Hosho Reliables edged the Tokyo Denki Dynamics, 5-4. Nagoya Hosho shortstop Koushirou Kuga stood apart with his performance. He was 3-5 with a home run and a double, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. Kiyohiro Okazaki got the win, improving to 13-3. He worked 9 innings, giving up 4 runs on 12 hits, while striking out 5 and walking 1. The Reliables sit in 7th place in the Japanese Baseball Association with a record of 33-40.
