| Boston Beaten, 6-5, by Washington | The Washington Eagles dealt the Boston Minutemen a 6-5 loss in 10 innings at Minuteman Stadium. Wally Austin was the star on offense. He was 1 for 1 with a home run and 2 walks, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. Earl Frazier nailed down his 1st save. At 76-84, the Eagles claim 5th place in the Federal Association East.
Jim Crane's hit in the top of the tenth was a game-changer. With two out, he rapped a changeup from Bud Shireman to center for a run-scoring single. It put Washington in front, 6-5.
