| Minutemen Win at Home, 4-0 | The Boston Minutemen topped the Washington Eagles, 4-0, in Federal Association action at Minuteman Stadium. The standout performance belonged to Boston pitcher and Jersey City, New Jersey, native Johnny Baylor. The third-place Minutemen are now 82-75, the Eagles 75-83.
Jim Morton, who is tied for 10th in the FA in doubles with 29, chipped in a solo home run for Boston in the bottom of the sixth. For the game, the right fielder had 3 hits in 4 at-bats with 1 home run, 2 singles, 1 run scored, and 2 RBI.
