Los Angeles Bats Go Silent in 1-0 Loss | The Los Angeles Stars wasted an inspired, 8-inning effort from starter Sy Dunn, falling, 1-0, to the Dallas Wranglers at Norris Stadium. The win belonged to Chet Baker in relief. His record improves to 5-9. Sy Dunn took the loss for Los Angeles. The win gives the Wranglers a record of 46-113.
Dallas took the lead, 1-0, on Ed Thompson's 6th home run of the season. The solo home run came off Los Angeles pitcher Sy Dunn in the bottom of the seventh.
