| Imperials Flatten Saints, 11-3 | The performance of Dud Garrison proved critical in helping New York beat Montreal, 11-3. The Imperials left fielder was 4-6 with 4 singles, while scoring 4. The triumph puts New York at 77-75 for the season.
New York used a well-timed hit by Freddy Curtis to capture the win. The pinch hitter socked a bases-clearing double in the top of the fifth inning to put the Imperials ahead, 7-3. Though it was his only hit in 1 at-bat, it was important.
"I'm just looking for a good pitch that I can hit well," said Garrison. "And not try to do too much."
