Cannons Reel Off Another Win
The Cincinnati Cannons scored a tight, 5-4 win versus the Montreal Saints at Tice Memorial Stadium II. Cincinnati pitcher Charlie Warren held his own in the contest. Warren yielded 4 runs over 7 innings to notch the win. He scattered 9 hits, walked 2, and struck out 5. His record improves to 17-11. Paul Williams notched his 31st save in 35 chances.

The Cannons got a big at-bat from right fielder Mark Boyd. For the game, Boyd went 1-4 with a home run, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. In the bottom of the fourth, with a runner on 2nd, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 7th home run of the season gave Cincinnati a 3-1 lead.
