Saints Get Thrilling 6-5 Win
Despite a fine performance by first baseman Mike Rocque, the Cincinnati Cannons lost to the Montreal Saints, 6-5. Rocque went 3 for 4 with 2 doubles. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. The winner in relief was Miguel Hernandez. He is now 12-8. The right-hander allowed no runs on no hits in 2 innings. At 73-75, Montreal is in 4th place in the Continental Association East.

Montreal used the timely hitting of Billy Taylor to seize the win. The shortstop stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the tenth inning to put the Saints on top, 6-5. It was his only hit in 5 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

"Our guys refused to lose," said Taylor.
