| Multi-HR Day for Jacobs as Pioneers Overpower Millers, 10-3 | The 10-3 St. Louis win over Minneapolis was due largely to Del Jacobs. The Pioneers third baseman slugged 2 home runs, while adding 4 RBI and scoring twice. The third-place Pioneers hiked their record to 73-75.
In the bottom of the sixth, Jacobs put his team in front with his 13th home run of the season. The 3-run home run, which came against Jack Turner, made it 5-3, St. Louis.
"You need to show up when your number's called," said Jacobs.
