| Wranglers Beaten By Cannons, 7-3 | The Cincinnati Cannons defeated the Dallas Wranglers, 7-3, in Continental Association action at Tice Memorial Stadium II. Dallas Berry pulled his weight. The 10-year veteran went 2 for 4 with a home run, a double, and a walk. He scored 2 times and drove in 3. Red Cunningham went 5 innings for Cincinnati to pick up the win. The right-hander was charged with 3 runs. He scattered 9 hits, while walking 2 and striking out 1. His record improves to 8-9. With the win, Cincinnati pushed its record to 71-64.
Cincinnati took a 6-3 lead on Berry's 38th home run of the season. The 2-run home run, which he hit off Rex Conner in the bottom of the sixth, propelled Cincinnati to the win.
"We'll kick back tonight, then get set for the next one," Berry said.
