The Chicago Cougars topped the Dallas Wranglers, 5-4, in Continental Association action at Norris Stadium. The game was highlighted by the performance of Chicago pitcher Roger Alford. Chicago reliever Jim Norris snagged the win, upping his record to 8-12. Asbury Ashmore shouldered the loss. Chicago bumps their record to 66-80 with the win.

The most critical at-bat came in the top of the ninth inning. With two out, Tom Halliday hit a 0-1 cutter from Asbury Ashmore for a run-scoring single. It put Chicago in front, 5-4.

Chicago manager Pug Bryan said his team played a "no nonsense" game.
