| Kings Dump Dallas, 3-2, to Win 5th in a Row | In a low-scoring contest between the Seattle Kings and the Dallas Wranglers, Bill Harris was the X factor. The Seattle right-hander spearheaded the 3-2 win. In 8 innings, Harris surrendered 7 hits, while striking out 4 and walking 4. He allowed 2 runs. The first-place Kings have won 5 in a row.
The Kings got a big at-bat from shortstop Ben Baker. For the game, Baker went 1-4 with a home run, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. In the top of the fourth, with a runner on 1st, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 5th home run of the season gave Seattle a 3-1 lead.
"You've got to ride the highs and the lows in baseball in order to succeed," Baker told the Seattle Citizen. "Right now I'm feeling good, but that don't mean squat for tomorrow." | |
