Caudill Leads Cougars to 10-5 Win Over Wranglers
The Chicago Cougars beat the Dallas Wranglers, 10-5, at Norris Stadium. Dode Caudill went 4 for 5 with a triple, 3 singles, and a walk. He scored 4 times. The 24-year old left fielder was a menace to Dallas all day. Ken Stone earned the win, while 32-year old right-handed pitcher Ansel Rohling took the loss for Dallas. With the win, Chicago goes to 83-58, while the Wranglers fall to 40-101.

In the top of the first, Chicago shortstop Tom Halliday had a productive at-bat. With runners on 2nd and 3rd and two out, Halliday stroked a 2-run single to left. It made the score 2-0, Chicago. For the game, he was 4-6 with 4 singles. He drove in 4 runs and scored once.
