| Kings Win with Late Heroics | The Kansas City Kings took Cincinnati pitcher Red Cunningham's best shot and still were able to claim a win at Prairie Park. The final score had Kansas City getting past the Cannons, 3-2. Cunningham went 6 innings and allowed 2 runs, striking out 6. Kansas City reliever Fred Myers picked up the win, raising his record to 5-3. Hal Miller was tagged with the loss. The victory gives the Kings a record of 78-52.
A defensive lapse proved costly in the contest. With the game tied in the bottom of the 12th, an error by the Cannons allowed the Kings to score the winning run.
"A great team win and something real positive we can build on," said Burge after the game.
