Griswold K's 10 En Route to 2-1 Miners Win | Pittsburgh Miners starter Hank Griswold turned in a sparkling performance against the New York Gothams, leading his team to a 2-1 win. With the win, Pittsburgh pushed its record to 79-58.
Griswold's performance can only be described as masterful. He notched 10 strikeouts in 9 innings while allowing 5 hits. Griswold, the 7th overall pick in the 1959 draft, goes to 14-6 on the year with 135 strikeouts.
