The Kansas City Kings picked up a win at Bigsby Stadium, dropping the Los Angeles Stars, 5-3, in 10 innings. Johnnie Higgins, who is tied for 10th in the CA in innings pitched with 183.1, was the difference-maker. Del Lamb earned the win after being brought in from the bullpen. The left-hander allowed no runs on 1 hit in 3 innings. His record is now 11-2. The win puts the Kings at 94-41, while the Stars drop to 83-52.

Hank Williams came through with a big-time hit for Kansas City. The left fielder smacked a 2-run home run in the top of the tenth inning to give his team the lead, 5-3. It was his only hit, but it was clutch.
