| Adams Dominant in Cougars Victory | Chicago Cougars starter Hal Adams hurled his team past the San Francisco Sailors, 2-1. The 5th-place Cougars go to 61-78.
Adams, a native of Valdosta, Georgia, was dealing all game. He kept San Francisco hitters off-balance, while giving the Cougars 9 quality innings. Adams threw 115 pitches, allowing 5 hits and striking out 5.
"The only difference is executing pitches and not executing pitches," said Adams. "When you don't execute, you get beat. When you execute, you usually give your team a chance to win."
