Cougars Take Home 3-2 Win Over Cleveland | The umbrellas came out during the Chicago-Cleveland contest at Cougars Park.
The Chicago Cougars got a stellar effort from pitcher Hank Walker, helping Chicago score a win over the visiting Cleveland Foresters, 3-2. Arch Wilson closed the door for Chicago, picking up his 4th save of the year.
The Cougars got a big at-bat from catcher Dutch Miller. For the game, Miller went 2 for 4 with a double. In the bottom of the sixth, with a runner on 1st, he stroked a run-scoring double. His 9th double of the season gave Chicago a 3-2 lead.
"I tell our guys all the time, 'Every pitch is the right pitch if you put it in the right place, you believe in it and have conviction,'" Chicago manager Buck Cuppett said.
The Cougars go to 80-54, putting them third in the Continental Association. | |
