Cougars Earn 4-1 Win Against Wranglers | The Chicago Cougars went home winners at Norris Stadium, thanks in large part to starter John Mitchell. Mitchell stifled the Dallas Wranglers, enabling Chicago to grab the 4-1 win. Bob Allen wrapped it up, recording his 1st save. The win hiked the Chicago record to 63-50.
Buddy Byrd hit a 2-run triple off Chet Baker in the top of the 11th, which put the Cougars in front, 3-1. Byrd had 1 single, in addition to the triple. For the game, he went 2 for 6.
