Imperials Earn Clutch Win, 8-7
The New York Imperials had to overcome a big game from Los Angeles third baseman Ralph Barrell to leave Bigsby Stadium with a victory. And they did, winning, 8-7. Barrell went 3 for 6 with a home run, a double, and a walk. The Imperials, at 65-67, sit in 4th place in the Continental Association East.

The game was at a stalemate until pitcher Andy Masson came to bat in the top of the 14th. Facing Los Angeles pitcher Bob Hollister, he hit a first pitch fastball for a run-scoring single. It was a game-changer, putting New York on top, 8-7.

"Feels good to get the job done," Masson said after the game.
