| Saints Win at Los Angeles, 4-2 | The Montreal Saints got a marvelous performance from pitcher Nate Carr. The right-hander kept the Los Angeles offense from ever getting much traction. The result was an impressive 4-2 Montreal victory at Bigsby Stadium. Montreal is 8th in the Continental Association with a record of 47-59.
Ralph Hanson, who finished 4th in the CA in triples with 13 in 1954, had a direct impact on the outcome. Hanson contributed a run-scoring single in the top of the third inning to put Montreal up, 1-0.
"Nate is tough to beat when he's hitting his spots," said Montreal manager Johnny Gilbert.
