Pioneers Rally to Win, 5-4
Despite a great performance by New York catcher Tom Brizzolara, the St. Louis Pioneers defeated the Gothams by the score of 5-4 in 10 innings at Pioneer Field III. Brizzolara went 2 for 4 with a home run, while scoring 2 and driving in 2. The defeat makes New York 63-69.

The decisive blow was delivered by Del Jacobs in the bottom of the tenth when he hit a solo home run off 27-year old right-handed pitcher Charlie French to win the game for St. Louis. The home crowd went nuts.

"He who laughs last laughs best," Jacobs said, postgame.
