| Saints Sneak Past Stars, 2-1 | Montreal Saints starter Dave Taylor took the mound against the Los Angeles Stars at Bigsby Stadium; and, when all was said and done, the right-hander led his team to an extra-inning, 2-1 win. Bill Richards, credited with the win in relief, is now 8-4. He allowed no runs on no hits in 2 innings. Johnny Lyon, credited with the save, is now 2 for 4 in save opportunities.
Sam Kenneally came through with a big-time hit for Montreal. The pinch hitter smacked a solo home run in the top of the 13th inning to give his team the lead, 2-1. It was his only hit, but it was clutch.
"We found a way to get it done," Kenneally said.
With the win, Montreal has a record of 64-67. Los Angeles falls to 67-63.
