The Los Angeles Suns banked on Jimmy Blair and he turned in a masterful performance. The left-hander kept the Washington hitters in check. The final score was 1-0, Suns. Ron Clark nailed down his 18th save.
Bill Perry, the Los Angeles third baseman, contributed a run-scoring single in the bottom of the fifth inning to make the score 1-0, Suns. For the game, Perry went 1-3.
"It was a solid team effort," said Perry after the game.
