The Falcons grabbed a win, 3-2, at Fukuoka Stadium, overcoming a fine effort from Nagasaki pitcher Akimasa Murakami. Murakami went 7.2 innings and allowed 1 run. The victory gives Fukuoka a record of 83-57.

Fukuoka got a clutch hit from Ayato Sugiura. The left fielder launched a 2-run home run in the bottom of the ninth inning to win the game. It was his only hit in 3 at-bats, but it was a kill shot.

Sugiura attributed the win to "energy and focus on the part of everyone."
