| Bees Beat Sailors, 6-5 | The 6-5 Vesutan win over Osaka was due largely to Kyozo Omori. The Bees left fielder went 3 for 3 with a home run, 2 singles, and was hit by a pitch. He scored 2 runs. Kiyoshi Inouye got the save, the 24th for him this season. With the win, Vesutan goes to 68-67, while the Sailors fall to 39-97.
Vesutan took a 6-5 lead on Omori's 25th home run of the season. The solo home run, which he hit off Tetsushou Kobayashi in the bottom of the seventh, propelled Vesutan to the win.
"We put it together and came out with the win," Omori said in postgame remarks. "That's the main thing."
