| Fukuoka Wins, 5-1 | The Fukuoka Falcons tallied a win at Kotei Stadium, throttling the Osaka Sailors, 5-1. Starting pitcher Isaburo Muraoka was a big reason for his team's success. Picking up the save was Shinpo Yamasaki, his 29th. With the win, Fukuoka upped its record to 80-55.
Fukuoka used the hitting of Yasuhiko Kawasaki to pick up the win. The first baseman clubbed a 2-run home run in the top of the third inning to put the Falcons on top, 3-1. For the game, Kawasaki had 1 home run and 2 singles in 5 at-bats.
"Isaburo was exceptional and he pitched with a purpose," said Fukuoka manager Kamlyn Kadota.
