The Kobe Bulls used the hitting of pinch hitter Tadahisa Ryu to subdue the Osaka Sailors, 4-3. For the game, Ryu went 1-1 with a home run. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. Kobe pitcher Shinya Kawakami got the win. He's now 7-2. Haruki Ogawa was tagged with the loss. Kobe has now won 15 straight.

Kobe got a game-changing hit from Ryuichi Funakoshi. The first baseman blasted a solo home run in the bottom of the ninth inning to win the game. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a winner.
