| Oto Now 13-8 After Subduing Sailors | Tatsuharu Oto, the 2nd overall pick in the 1960 draft, never let the Sailors get in a groove. The right-hander used his bread and butter, his fastball, to pitch the Bulls to a win, 3-1. The Bulls raised their record to 57-49.
Oto was in the zone, shutting down Osaka hitters over 7.1 innings. Oto, who threw 92 pitches, allowed 1 run on 4 hits. He also tallied 7 punchouts.
