| Sailors Lose By a Run at Fukuoka | Not everyone stuck through the 43-minute rain delay, but those who did went home happy.
The Fukuoka Falcons picked up a win at Fukuoka Stadium, courtesy of Norito Yamazaki. The right-hander helped his team stop the Osaka Sailors, 3-2. Yamazaki picked up the win for Fukuoka, going 7 innings. He gave up 2 runs on 4 hits. He now sports a record of 10-10. Kijuro Fukushima earned the save for Fukuoka, his 22nd.
Yuigo Fukunaga, who led the WL in triples with 17 in 1959, aided the Fukuoka cause with a 2-run single in the bottom of the first. For the game, the left fielder was 1 for 4, while adding 2 RBI.
"I just trusted my stuff," said Yamazaki.
The win lifted the Fukuoka record to 53-52.
