| Nagasaki Wins, Yamashita gets 4 RBI | Nagasaki took on Fukuoka in front of a lively crowd.
The Nagasaki Stars defeated the Fukuoka Falcons, 12-5, at Fukuoka Stadium. Nagasaki first baseman Shuuhei Yamashita had a superb performance. He was 2 for 4 with a home run and a walk. He scored 3 runs and drove in 4. Nagasaki is now 73-52, Fukuoka 63-62.
The Stars jumped ahead in the bottom of the first. With two out, William Hancock, who is tied for 7th in the WL in bases on balls with 79, hit a 3-run home run off Norito Yamazaki, putting Nagasaki in front, 4-2. For Hancock, it was his 10th home run of the season.
Hancock said afterward that "winning is the goal."
