| Bees Pick Up 6-4 Win | The Vesutan Bees knocked off the Osaka Sailors, 6-4, at Kotei Stadium. Hidetsugu Ikegami was a big reason Vesutan won. The right fielder was 3-4 with a double, 2 singles, and a walk, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. Shuhei Ichikawa got credit for the win, improving to 8-6. He allowed 4 runs on 6 hits in 6.2 innings. Kiyoshi Inouye, who is tied for 2nd in the WL in saves with 19, earned the save for Vesutan.
Ikegami made an early impact for Vesutan when he stroked his 22nd double of the season. The bases-clearing double, which came in the top of the second, put the Bees on top, 5-0.
"The hot tub feels extra good after a solid win," said Ikegami.
The 4th-place Bees improved to 60-61.
