Kitahachi Masuda was a major contributor to the 5-1 Kinboshi win over Vesutan. The Kites second baseman was 3 for 3 with a double and 2 singles, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 2. Josuke Fujimori picked up the win, improving his season record to 5-6. He struck out 2 in 5 innings.

Masuda came through for Kinboshi with a 2-run single in the top of the third. He hit a 1-0 fastball to center field, staking his team to a 3-1 lead.
