| Ishii goes 3-for-3 to Ignite Bees Offense | The Vesutan Bees and Fukuoka Falcons completed their game despite the rain.
The Vesutan Bees stymied the Fukuoka Falcons, 7-1, at Fukuoka Stadium. Susumu Ishii had a good day at the plate. He went 3-3 with a triple, a double, and 2 walks. He scored 3 times and drove in 2 for Vesutan. Vesutan pitcher Tatsuki Goto earned the win, hiking his record to 7-7. Ryunosuke Saito suffered the loss.
With Vesutan leading 3-1 in the bottom of the fifth, Ishii hit a 2-run single off Fukuoka hurler Ryunosuke Saito. It was the 166th hit of the season for Ishii and put his team ahead, 5-1.
"If you pitch well, you give yourself some opportunities," said Vesutan manager Jim Harper.
Vesutan has now won 3 in a row.
