| Falcons Click Off Another Win, 5-4 | The Fukuoka Falcons did just enough to sneak past the Kobe Bulls, 5-4, at Matsunoki Stadium. Fukuoka pitcher Iwao Yamamoto, in particular, had a standout performance. The second-place Falcons have won 6 straight.
Itaru Nakamura, who is tied for 8th in the WL in hits with 111, helped out the Fukuoka cause in the top of the third inning with a run-scoring single. For the game, the shortstop went 3 for 5 with 3 singles.
"Nice to keep stacking the wins," said Nakamura.
