| Bees Spank Stars, 11-2 | The Vesutan Bees handed the Nagasaki Stars a sound defeat, 11-2, at Vesutan Stadium. Hidetsugu Ikegami, who finished 3rd in the WL in OPS with .857 in 1966, was a main contributor to the win. He went 3-3 with 3 singles and 2 walks, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once for Vesutan. The losses continue to add up for Nagasaki, having now dropped 8 straight.
Taiji Miyakawa, who is tied for 8th in the WL in extra base hits with 39, chipped in a 2-run home run for Vesutan in the bottom of the second. For the game, the third baseman had 2 hits in 5 at-bats with 1 home run, 1 single, 2 runs scored, and 2 runs batted in.
