| Nagasaki Gets Another L | Both teams had their opportunities, but in the end, the Vesutan Bees got the win.
No one was more impactful than Susumu Ishii in the 4-3 Vesutan win over Nagasaki. Ishii, who leads the WL in hits with 157, went 4 for 5 with 4 singles. He scored 2 runs. Haruki Ogawa collected his 12th save.
Tomeo Okinaka drew 2 walks for Vesutan. The former first round draft pick had a key at-bat in the bottom of the seventh. With no one out and the bases loaded, he broke a 2-2 tie with a run-scoring walk off Roku Yamakawa. It was his 48th walk of the season.
Nagasaki manager Eddie Roseman said he was "mildly disappointed" with the loss. "We had our opportunities, but we didn't take advantage of them," he said.
The losses continue to mount for Nagasaki, which has now dropped 7 in a row.
