| Sailors Absorb 8-0 Home Loss | Spirited fans greeted the Osaka Sailors for their clash with the Kobe Bulls.
The Kobe Bulls and starting pitcher Tatsuharu Oto stifled the Osaka offense en route to a comfortable 8-0 win at Kotei Stadium. With the win, the Bulls hiked their record to 65-44.
Early in the game, second baseman Takaki Smith had a 2-run triple for Kobe. It was his 1st triple of the season and put the Bulls on top, 2-0.
Said losing manager Bill Sherrill: "At the end of the day, we've got to play better."
