| Kites Click Off Another Win, 4-1 | Kinboshi right-hander Teruaki Koyama pitched his team to victory over the Fukuoka Falcons at Konohana Stadium. The final score was 4-1. Koyama picked up the win for Kinboshi, going 6.2 innings. He gave up no runs on 4 hits. He now sports a record of 10-3. The win gives Kinboshi a season record of 59-41.
The Kites got a big at-bat from second baseman Kitahachi Masuda. For the game, Masuda went 1 for 3 with a triple, while adding 2 RBI. In the bottom of the first, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a 2-run triple. His 4th triple of the season gave Kinboshi a 2-0 lead.
"This team is hotter than heck," said Kinboshi manager Kaita Kurosawa.
