| Sailors Fall to Bees Late | The Vesutan Bees got a stellar effort from pitcher Hank Walker, helping Vesutan score a win over the visiting Osaka Sailors, 5-2. The Sailors, now 30-77, have lost 6 in a row.
Some sloppy defense hurt the Sailors. In the bottom of the eighth, with Vesutan trailing 2-1, Ichiro Hirano was at the plate when Vesutan scored 2 on an error. The miscue enabled the Bees to go in front, 3-2.
"They won't put me out to pasture just yet," said Walker.
