| Fukuoka Wins, 2-1, Over Sailors | The Fukuoka Falcons clipped the Osaka Sailors, 2-1, in 10 innings at Kotei Stadium. The standout performance belonged to Fukuoka pitcher and Yokohama, Japan, native Tsuneteru Fujiwara. Fukuoka raised its record to 59-48 with the win.
Fujiwara allowed 1 run on 5 hits over 9 innings for the Falcons. He walked 1 and struck out 4.
