| Yamakawa Flummoxes Sailors in 4-1 Win | The Kobe Bulls welcomed the Osaka Sailors to an night game at Matsunoki Stadium.
The Kobe Bulls went home winners at Matsunoki Stadium, thanks in large part to starter Roku Yamakawa. Yamakawa stifled the Osaka Sailors, enabling Kobe to grab the 4-1 win. The first-place Bulls go to 67-35.
Yamakawa, who dominated for Kobe, earned the victory to move to 10-7. He was in control the whole game, scattering 5 hits over 9 innings, while striking out 5. Osaka batters could never bunch up enough hits to produce a rally.
"We're leading the horse race," said Yamakawa. "But we're not yet in the home stretch."
