| Bulls Prevail, 5-3, Over Fukuoka | The Kobe Bulls picked up a win at Matsunoki Stadium, taking down the Fukuoka Falcons, 5-3. Starting pitcher Toshitada Morino was a big reason why. The victory gives Kobe a record of 47-43.
Yutaka Abe had a big 2-run home run for the Bulls in the bottom of the second inning. With Kobe leading 1-0 and a runner on 2nd, he sized up a fastball from Tadaatsu Miki, who is tied for 10th in the WL with a 5.3 K/9 rate, and punished it. The result was his 8th home run of the season, which put the Bulls on top, 3-0.
"I was just trying to execute one pitch at a time," said Morino.
