The Kobe Bulls beat the Vesutan Bees, 7-4. Kobe pitcher and Higashimatsuyama, Japan, native Tatsuharu Oto led the way. Oto yielded 4 runs over 9 innings to notch the win. He scattered 8 hits, walked 1, and struck out 5. His record improves to 15-5. The first-place Bulls go to 64-33.

In the top of the first, Kouyuu Kira jumped on a fastball from Niou Nagao and hit a 2-run single. It gave Kobe a quick 2-0 lead.
