Bulls Get Clutch Win Versus Nagasaki
The Nagasaki Stars got a superb performance from pitcher Shinsaku Shiraishi, but the Kobe Bulls still won the game, 5-4. Shiraishi threw 6.0 innings of shutout ball. The Western League-leading Bulls have a record of 56-41.

Kobe got a knockout punch from Takaki Smith. The second baseman hammered a 2-run home run in the bottom of the ninth inning to win the game. It might've been his only hit, but it decided the outcome.

"This house was rockin'," Smith said.
