| Kites Make It 4 In a Row with 10-8 Triumph Over Kobe | Takaki Smith did all he could to help his team win. In the end, though, it wasn't enough to keep the Kobe Bulls from being beaten, 10-8, to the Kinboshi Kites at Konohana Stadium. Smith went 3 for 4 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 3. Kinya Kodama, summoned from the bullpen, notched his 5th save. The Kites, now 41-37, have won 4 in a row.
With two out in the bottom of the fourth, Sueo Shimabukuro put Kinboshi in front, 5-3, with a 2-run single. The Kites went on to win the ballgame.
"The boys were really swinging the bats today," winning manager Kaita Kurosawa said.
