In a low-scoring contest between the Fukuoka Falcons and the Osaka Sailors, Rei Matsumura was the X factor. The Fukuoka right-hander spearheaded the 2-1 win. The Falcons bumped their record to 48-44 with this win.

Kohei Kikuchi was the walk-off hero for Fukuoka. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Falcons pinch hitter hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.

"The crowd was juiced," said Kikuchi.
