| Czerwinski Goes Deep Twice in 6-1 Suns Win | The Los Angeles Suns beat the Washington Eagles, 6-1, at Wilshire Park. Stan Czerwinski, in particular, was impressive. He went 2-4 with 2 home runs, while adding 5 RBI and scoring twice. Dixie Gaines picked up the win, lifting his record to 6-8 on the season. He struck out 4 and walked 0 in 7.1 innings, while yielding 1 run. Los Angeles is 31-46 and Washington, with the loss, 37-40.
The game turned with one out in the bottom of the fourth when Czerwinski hit a grand slam home run. It thrust the Suns into the lead, 4-0.
"I'm proud to be a part of what we've got going on here," Czerwinski told the Los Angeles Today. "It's a great group and we're happy with the win."
