Imperials Lose By a Run at Cleveland
The inspired effort of New York left fielder Turk Ramsey was not enough to prevent a loss, 5-4, to the Cleveland Foresters. Ramsey went 3-4 with a home run and a double, while scoring 2 times and driving in 2. Johnny Ogden picked up the save, his 6th. New York's current losing streak has reached 5 games.

Earl Howe had a big 2-run double for the Foresters in the bottom of the fifth inning. With Cleveland leading 3-1 and runners on 2nd and 3rd, he got a curveball from Frankie Sawyer, who is tied for 10th in the CA in quality starts with 5, and swatted a double to right. It was his 6th double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Foresters ahead, 5-1.

"We were the better team," crowed Howe.
