| Bulls Reel Off Another Win, 5-4 | Both teams had their chances, but the Kobe Bulls eventually prevailed.
The Kobe Bulls topped the Vesutan Bees, 5-4, in Western League action at Matsunoki Stadium. The game was highlighted by the performance of Kobe pitcher Bill O'Grady. O'Grady, now 4-4, was the winner. In 5.2 innings, he gave up 5 hits, while striking out 2, walking 4, and allowing 2 runs.
Yutaka Abe, the Kobe right fielder, contributed a run-scoring single in the bottom of the third inning to make the score 5-0, Bulls. For the game, Abe was 1-3, while adding 2 RBI.
"Bill is tough to beat when he's hitting his spots," said Kobe manager Joe Davis.
The Bulls bumped their record to 41-32 with this latest triumph.
